The Tri-agency Harmonization Scholarships Liaison Officers Working Group (SLO Working Group) provides advice to the agencies – the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) – on matters related to implementing and delivering the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master’s (CGRS M) program and the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Doctoral (CGRS D) program. The SLO Working Group may also address the implementation and delivery of other tri-agency initiatives and harmonized programs.
The mandate of the SLO Working Group is to provide the agencies with
- independent, expert advice on operational and policy aspects related to tri-agency harmonized programs and processes
- feedback on how tri-agency harmonized processes impact applicants and institution staff

The SLO Working Group is composed of scholarships liaison officers or equivalent from various institutions across Canada and it is chaired by a representative from one of the three agencies.
The agencies will make reasonable attempts to ensure that membership reflects the diversity of the institutions they serve.
SLO Working Group members serve a term of 12 months with the option of renewal.
